Executive Exchange: What Are You Talking About? SeaWorld’s Approach to Strategic Internal Communication

2014 Annual Conference
Workplace Application: Learn about SeaWorld’s approach to strategic internal communications today, and how you can create such a strategy for your organization.

Carefully-orchestrated and well-funded marketing campaigns drive the consumer engine for much of the business world.  The opportunity to market effectively inside our organizations, however, often remains greatly untapped, as HR professionals frequently find themselves in just-in-time tactical, or even reactive mode when communicating to employees. Framed around the plan in place in Orlando’s SeaWorld Parks and Resorts, this session discusses both the why and how associated with developing a solid internal communication plan that is strategic and oriented toward real results. You will leave with an understanding of the importance of an internal communications plan, the risk of not having one, and ideas of the sorts of results you might expect.  Additionally, O’Neal will share the process of developing an internal communication plan and discusses tools which might be used for execution.
