Immigration is one of the most misunderstood of the HR processes yet the consequences of getting it wrong are high. This session will explore ways in which immigration fits into the broader HR picture, and how the relationships between all those involved in the immigration process – HR, legal, hiring managers, recruiters and others – can be strengthened. This session will also define “immigration compliance” and help you keep your organization in compliance.

Allyson Gonzalez is a Human Resources professional who directs AT&T’s program for the hiring and management of foreign nationals.  Her team develops policies and procedures in support of foreign national employees for the benefit and guidance of hiring managers, staffing managers, and others as they pursue the achievement of business objectives.  Prior to joining AT&T, she held a similar position at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) – now British Petroleum.  She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Texas - Dallas, with a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
