Talent Games: Hiring, Engaging and Retaining the Talent Your Company Needs

2016 SHRM Talent Management Conference & Exposition
Workplace Application: You will leave with a self-diagnosis of your current talent strategy as well as a roadmap for improvement.

The numbers tell the story: 10,000 Baby Boomers turn 65 every day, and will for the next 20 years. In addition, turnover is up sharply, according to the Hay Group, with 161 million employees changing jobs this year. Harvard Business Review reports that 80 percent of CEOs worry about their companies’ ability to find the talent they need, and Gallup reports that only three in 10 American workers are engaged at work. Today any kind of employee can be found, but hiring “A” players is tough and retaining them is harder still. Effective recruiting is crucial. This session will:

·         Review how to build an effective recruiting process, or diagnose and improve the one you already have in place.

·         Analyze how the effectiveness of your talent strategy impacts your organization’s growth and profitability.

·         Discuss best practices from high-performing companies with innovative and successful strategies around recruiting, engagement and retention.
