Agency Update: Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

SHRM 2013 Employment Law and Legislative Conference

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) plays a major role in implementing and administering the various tax provisions included in the health care reform law. It is tasked with a range of activities, from providing incentives and tax breaks for individuals and small businesses, to imposing penalties on individuals and
businesses that do not obtain health care coverage for themselves or their employees. Attend this agency update session to hear directly from IRS staff on what to expect regarding employer shared responsibility under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), employer penalties, enforcement and
to share your questions with agency staff.
