Can We Do That?! The Latest News in Employee Selection Procedures
Workplace Application: This interactive presentation will compare and contrast the latest regulatory, legislative and legal news and trends in employers' use of selection procedures.
Regulatory agencies and legislatures continue to analyze and consider alternatives and limitations as to how, why and when you may use a variety of selection procedures. These include but are not limited to consideration of individuals' lifestyles, off-duty conduct, background information and more. You will be able to name and describe at least two current selection procedures that are under scrutiny by legislative bodies, regulatory agencies and/or the courts, as well as explain the workplace implications of such scrutiny and how it may impact your organization. You will learn how to develop the business case for creating and/or updating workplace policies, practices and procedures to enhance continued compliance.
