This session will help you identify obstacles to demonstrating HR leadership as well as how to overcome them. Currence will examine areas of a smaller companies that could benefit from effective HR management. You will leave feeling empowered with ideas you can immediately implement in your company.

Jennifer Currence is the president of The Currence Group in Tampa, Florida, where she helps companies grow through customized training programs. She is an international speaker, a university professor, host of a weekly radio show, and the creator of the LEAD360TM leadership development program.

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in HR and training. She served as an editor for SHRM’s new Learning System in 2016, then wrote exam questions for the SHRM-SCP exam, and is now a faculty member for SHRM.

Jennifer is the author of Applying Critical Evaluation, Developing Business Acumen and Mastering Consultation as an HR Practitioner in the series Making an Impact in Small Business.

Jennifer is also a member of the SHRM Speakers Bureau.
