This session will examine how moving from traditional stocks and bonds to liability driven investing can help define and reduce risk for employers managing defined benefit pension plans. The session will include the pros and cons of adopting a dynamic asset allocation that will manage the plan to a funded status benchmark as opposed to capital market benchmark. We will also discuss the financial impact of plan termination strategies including lump sum windows and risk transfer.
