Many employees focus solely on work and give themselves a pass when it comes to healthy habits. Productivity and overall health take a hit. HR professionals care about employee engagement and well-being. But many don’t want to oversee workplace wellness due to lack of time and expertise.
Participants will learn quick and easy ways to create a healthy workplace culture with restorative micro-breaks, wellness messaging and motivational tips, and a self-guided wellness self-coaching program.
This talk underscores the importance of self-care: putting health first because a healthy employee is a more productive and engaged employee. Healthy employees make for a healthy organization.
Kim Bercovitz, Ph.D.
Dr. Kim Bercovitz (aka Dr. Kim) is a health behavior scientist who helps organizations create a healthy workplace culture that keeps employees engaged, productive and energized. In July 2019, Dr. Kim will be launching Byte-Size Wellness Academy, an online employee wellness self-coaching program.
Dr. Kim has a Ph.D. in Community Health and a M.S. in Exercise/Health Studies. She was an adjunct professor in public health at the University of Toronto, research scientist at renowned Toronto teaching hospitals, and a National Cancer Institute of Canada postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Kim lives in Maryland with her husband, 2 teens, and dog.
