In the tweet, the recruiter appeared to brag about giving a woman candidate $50,000.00 less than the allotted salary for the position. $50,000.00 over the course of the woman’s career could result in a huge financial deficit for the woman and an even larger liability for the company. All of which could have been prevented by a recruiter trained to be an equity advocate. The common myth is that equity and salary negotiations cannot reside in the same conversation.
