Workforce Diversity and Flexibility in the Post-COVID Era

HR Reimagined: SHRM Northern California Annual Conference 2023

The past decade has seen a dramatic shift not only in the four to five generations in the workforce, but also greater shift toward the framing of what work flexibility means. How does this new framing relate to the role of leadership cultivation given the effects of the post-COVID economy wherein different demographics may have different views on flexibility and performative success? Moreover, what are the implications on retention and leadership cultivation and especially that integrates meaningfulness with the need for inclusive and innovative practices around leadership and retention? In this session, we will explore current views and trends across these demographics and will share best practices in the field as part of revisiting generational dynamics in the era of DEIB. Level and Audience: HR Generalists and any HR entrants or leaders with interest in this topic
