DEI Micro-Climates – Developing Work Teams with Inclusive Cultures
As a people manager, building an inclusive team culture is key. More important for employee engagement than firmwide DEI Vision or Strategy is the micro-climate on individual teams. Manager behavior is the #1 predictor of employees’ sense of inclusion—and the #1 factor in attrition. While you may be confident in your delivery against business goals, creating a cohesive team where everyone flourishes and contributes their best can be challenging, especially when teams are increasingly geographically dispersed.
Learning Objectives:
- Insights from latest research to combat employee attrition.
- Team-based practices to build an inclusive climate
- “Leading outward’ to ensure team members are treated fairly, empowered and can flourish
- “Leading inward’ to evaluate your inner ability to lead, act courageously, and self-reflect
