This presentation will teach participants what data to collect, how to collect it, and how to analyze it effectively in preparation for the creation of an effective DEI strategy.

This session equips participants with a foundational understanding of how to collect and analyze data in preparation for creating an effective strategy. Real-world examples from various industries will highlight how careful analysis can provide insights into specific organizational gaps and pain points--even if they differ from general perceptions and assumptions. The importance of using both aggregated and disaggregated data will be emphasized, as well as tandem analysis offering a deeper understanding of results. Additionally, participants will receive valuable resources such as effective data-gathering protocols and analysis templates.

Sara holds a master’s degree in DEI and Organizational Development from the University of Minnesota. Prior to deepSEE, she held positions such as Chief Diversity Officer and Leadership and Diversity Specialist.
