Organizations must move beyond simple awareness of inclusion and start building the behaviors of inclusion. Key among these behaviors is the ability to bring diverse and differing perspectives into everyday dialogue. Research shows that a few key communication skills can create psychological safety so everyone feels welcome to share their perspectives and contribute. In this session, your host Emily Gregory, MD, co-author of Crucial Conversations, will show you how to share your perspective candidly but respectfully, and how to encourage others to do the same as you work to foster more inclusive workplace cultures.

Learning Objectives:

  • Strengthen organizational culture with diverse and inclusive communication.
  • Discover skills to speak candidly and respectfully when inclined to silence or violence.
  • Develop strategies to create a culture of dialogue in your organization.
