DEI has evolved over the last 60 years. Much of the focus in organizations has been on educating, training, and awareness building at the individual level. What organizations haven't devoted equal attention to is how to change the system of work-meaning the policies and practices-to create and sustain an antiracist workplace. No matter your organization's size, no matter if you have dedicated DEI professionals or not, no matter your industry, you need a strategy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn a refreshingly new and empowering lens to view and perform your DEI work.
  • Discover why racial diversity must be unbundled from other forms of diversity.
  • Learn best practices from a myriad of industries that the authors interviewed for their book, The Business of Race.
  • Speak the language of business to gain support for your initiatives.
  • Learn about a strategic planning tool from the field of positive psychology and apply it to your organization.
