Inspiring Cognitive Diversity to Celebrate Unique Personalities

INCLUSION 2024
Attendees of this session will exercise their cognitive agility to learn more about individual personalities, the importance of understanding self and others, and how patience, empathy, and kindness can lead to greater workplace harmony.

Seating Instructions: Seating is first-come, first-served. Reserved seating options are available for accessibility and accommodations. For detailed accessibility information, visit INFO > FAQs in the app.

Workplace diversity encompasses many differences including protected class characteristics and more.  All differences can be chunked into generally shared categories, except for one, personalities.  Just as no two fingerprints are identical, neither are any two people's personalities.  To ensure not only diversity tolerance but also appreciation, it begins with understanding ourselves better, recognizing the '3+1' general types of people, learning more about all DiSC® personality types, and finally, exploring ways to better relate to others.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the '3+1' general types of people.
  • Recognize DiSC® Personality Styles - self and others.
  • Discover key personality similarities and differences.
  • Learn tips how to navigate and mediate conflicts.
  • Identify and utilize individual's strengths.
