This session will address how to avoid legal risks associated with monitoring and disciplining employees for their social media use. Kasper will share best practices for navigating employee privacy issues, employee conduct outside of work and using social media as part of the hiring process. The session will also provide practical guidance for developing social media policies and will address the recent decision by the National Labor Relations Board to file a charge against an employer who terminated an employee for her Facebook postings.
