Launching an I&D strategy in any organization can be daunting. Where do you start? How do you know you'll make a difference? Effective I&D work starts with a comprehensive strategy that ties to the overall business outcomes and drives organizational success. This session will provide you with the knowledge, tools and processes to build your own sustainable, organizationally sound, transformational strategy from the ground up. We begin with the benefits of a transformational versus transactional approach, the basic components of a business case, an overview of the 13 areas of D&I programming, and an awareness of the stages of organizational I&D competence. Together with an analysis of their own organizational needs and examples of case studies, you will be given tools and templates to produce your own best-practice strategy.

Sara holds a master’s degree in DEI and Organizational Development from the University of Minnesota.
