CANCELLED: The Motherhood Penalty: How to Look at Time Off as an Asset and Cultivate A Stable of Top Talent
Inclusion 2019: Shifting Workplace Culture
The sense that parenthood has little to do with professional life or experience remains stubbornly in place, and discussing parenthood remains largely absent in the workplace. How would you like to change that conversation? What are common barriers potential hiring managers present to women who have taken breaks and want to come back? Are these concerns valid? What are some ideas regarding how to overcome these obstacles? In this session, you will learn how to assess non-linear skills women gain when on leave or away from work and at home caring for young children. While, there are skills gained that are not directly related to the workplace, they are just as valuable.
