More importantly, we will discuss how our Volunteer Leaders can join us on this journey and align their strategies with that of SHRM National to elevate their Chapters and State Councils.

SHRM's manager of public relations and publicity,  Cooper Nye, works with the media affairs team to elevate HR by establishing SHRM as the workplace thought leader by telling data-based stories about all things work, worker, and the workplace. Previously, Nye worked in public affairs--serving Fortune 500 companies, national nonprofits, and federal agencies-- and, in 2018, ran for the U.S. House of Representatives (MI-11) as an independent candidate focused on overcoming polarization and corruption. Cooper is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University where he majored in political theory and international relations, with a minor in philosophy.
