Business can learn a lesson from professional sports. When leading people, the best place to be is on the sidelines coaching your workforce and calling the plays. This session will help you learn how to empower your workforce to not approach their managers with questions, but solutions to current business issues. By utilizing a coaching model to increase team member engagement, delivering & development feedback, and having career conversations, your workforce can rise to the challenge you need them at. You will leave with the coaching for GROWth model and the knowledge of empowering an innovative workforce, how to provide fast and positive feedback, and the importance of career conversations.

During his career, Jared has moved from an entry level HR position to develop and manage a national HR program, leading HR initiatives for a Fortune 500 company, and currently is the Director of Operations for a successful technology company.  Jared’s strategic approach has allowed him to improved processes, maximize productivity, increase innovation, and act as an internal consultant for his organization. Some of his key accomplishments include:

• Receiving an MBA

• Being a certified professional in human resources

• Acting as 2013 Chapter President for Salt Lake SHRM

• Being an adjunct professor

• Was featured by the University of Utah as one of their most successful alumni

• Has developed a masters of HR competency program for Argosy University

• Has been published by KSL News, Utah Business Magazine, Deseret News, Utah Jobs Radio, and Fox Business

• Created an online HR group with over 2,200 local professionals

• Served as a member of the Mountainland Employer Connection Advisory Board with the State of Utah

• Has been part of the Health Care Reform and Immigration task forces with the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce

• Is fluent in Spanish.
