Workplace Application: In this workshop, you will learn what the critical HR responsibilities are, and what you must do, for a company going through international growth.

This workshop is designed to support HR practitioners who are working through the challenges of globalizing their HR function.  The workshop will begin with an overview of how globalization impacts HR, then we'll look through the various roles that HR must undertake in a growing business which will support international expansion... with a tight eye on what areas are critical to the success of the business. We'll go through case studies in small group discussions, and then review how those cases worked out in real life.  The presenter has been working in senior cross-border HR roles for over 20 years. You will learn what hot buttons in HR are keeping CEOs awake at night.

Lance J. Richards, SHRM-SCP, GPHR, SPHR, HRMP is a work force futurist and global HR strategist.  Most recently, he was vice president of Innovation for Kelly Services. Based in Detroit, Lance is one of SHRM's top rated speakers. He is a frequent speaker and writer on workplace issues, having presented at HR conferences around the globe. He is co-author of the Amazon-published book Gen Now (which is available in the SHRM Bookstore). Lance brings almost 25 years of cross-border expertise, with companies like British Telecom, Verizon, Bell Canada and Kelly Services. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Sasin Business School in Bangkok, where he teaches a graduate course in Global Human Capital.
