Stop Automating Bad Processes: How to Improve Your Processes as You Implement New Systems

2018 Talent Conference & Exposition
You will learn how to increase the efficiency and productivity of your HCM/TM system by implementing five steps to improve your talent processes.

We use HCM (human capital management)/TM (talent management) systems to automate processes. Unfortunately, bad processes that are automated are still bad processes. As a result, our investment in HCM systems does not produce the return on investment we were hoping for. Without taking the time to evaluate and improve processes, we cannot achieve increases to efficiency and performance. A case study of a midsize company's journey to revamp all TM processes in performance, succession planning, training, recruiting and more to achieve a 20 percent increase in efficiency within HR and a 10 percent increase in efficiency for managers will be examined so you can learn how one company succeeded. This session will also provide specific steps and metrics you can use to recognize and improve processes right away. This session will help you:

·         Understand how to maximize return on investment from your TM systems by reducing administrative
and management time to perform essential talent management functions.

·         Measure and evaluate current TM processes for effectiveness and efficiency to assess overall outcomes.

·         Understand the method for process improvement in your talent management and HR functions.

·         Follow a five-step model to help you evaluate and improve processes and procedures to maximize
effectiveness within an HCM/TM automated system.

·         Recognize features in your existing or other systems that can help improve processes and further
automate administrative functions within an HCM system.
