Program Overview

Managing change is becoming a major focal point for HR professionals as organizations continue to adapt to an ever-changing workplace. In this enlightening seminar, you will use a variety of resources to simulate a change initiative in a realistic work environment. You will interact with other professionals through group discussions, and you will problem solve using a real-world case study—all while receiving coaching from an experienced change management practitioner in a safe learning atmosphere. You will also receive a change management toolkit to reinforce and support your learning well after your classroom experience ends. 

Program Objectives

This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to:

  • Use SHRM's six-step change framework to guide your change management efforts
  • Draw from a range of models that focus on the people side of change
  • Develop change initiatives through a case study and simulation
  • Identify tools and techniques for assessing change 

Program Outline

After your two days of in-person instruction on-site in Chicago, the last portion of your program will be held virtually on Monday, July 1, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM ET through Zoom.

Montressa has over seventeen years of management consulting experience with corporations such as IBM's Global Business Services, James Martin & Co., and Accenture (formally Andersen Consulting).  She is a management consulting veteran with expertise in change management, human capital management and communication planning.

As a lead instructor for IBMs Global Business Consulting – Public Sector - Building Your Personal Brand and Establishing Digital Eminence Course, Montressa, developed content and taught IBM consultants the meaning and value of personal branding and digital eminence and how to create and implement a plan to market their personal brand both internally and externally.  

Montressa was a Management Design Fellow at Case Western Reserve University - Weatherhead School of Management PhD Management – Designing Sustainable Systems program. 

Montressa has been a SHRM Seminar Instructor since 2015.
