To top it all off, companies globally experience $322 billion in lost productivity.
Recent research proves managers are the secret to unlocking top performance on teams and across organizations. In this panel, Bonusly’s Chief Customer Officer, Debra Squyres, ITAC Solutions’ Chief Administrative Officer, Charles Baughman, and HR Executive and Consultant, David Gulley, will discuss why historically under-valuing and under-investing in managers has caused a culture and performance crisis. Debra Squyres
As Bonusly's Chief Customer Officer, Debra combines her passion for an exceptional customer experience with her drive to empower companies to connect, motivate, and engage their employees to build winning workplaces. Prior to Bonusly, Debra was the VP of CS at Beamery and the Chief Client Officer at Namely, to name a few. She has over 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles in Human Resources ranging from in-house HR leadership to HR Consulting, Outsourcing, Client Services, and Customer Success working directly with HR teams across a variety of industries. She currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and two dogs.
Charles Baughman PHR, SHRM-CP, TSC, CSP
From mowing lawns and working at a FroYo shop to the seat he’s in today, every job Charles has had involved a role in service—which is probably why he sees everything he does professionally as an opportunity to serve. Charles has led HR, customer service, sales, and recruiting teams along with serving as Chair for his local HR Leadership Academy. No matter what he has done in his career, his goal has always been to make life a little more enjoyable and rewarding for the people around him.
Explaining what Charles does for ITAC would depend on the person you ask. To some, he’s the “HR guy” or the “Ops guy.” Others might talk about their first week at ITAC spent with him to onboard and train them. Over time, his role has evolved along with the company. As the company’s Integrator, Charles works with the leadership team to carry out the vision of the Partners, holding the team accountable (think “cat herding”) and beating the drum on their 20 Mile March.
Just about every assessment he’s taken says he’s competitive, hard-charging, change-oriented, and has high standards. Outside of work, his competitiveness plays out on the tennis court. He’ll tell you he’s not great at it (yet), but the exercise and social aspects keep him coming back for more. While homelife throws in a curveball occasionally between his Sphynx cat Gus and his overly active Devon Rex mate, Ollie, Charles is happy to share life’s adventure with his partner who keeps all those qualities mentioned earlier in check
