Test your HR knowledge with SHRM’s knowledge advisors.  Audience members will be selected to join three knowledge advisors on the Spotlight Stage.   Each advisor will provide a different take on the same HR scenario.  Decide which advisor is speaking the truth, and who has missed the mark.  Prizes will be awarded to the winners!

Jennifer Chang, SHRM-CP, brings a decade of human resources experience with her to the role of HR Knowledge Advisor. Jennifer has worked primarily in the government contracting industry in a variety of roles as an HR practitioner (generalist, specialist, and director). She holds a master's degree in Organizational Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University. Jennifer particularly enjoys assisting SHRM members by being a sounding board and providing guidance and resources to help navigate complex employee relations issues.

Jim Emanuel has over 30+ years of HR experience encompassing compliance, talent management, employee relations, compensation, and leadership and development. Prior to joining SHRM, Jim worked 23 years for a Fortune 500 Healthcare Company most recently in the capacity of Director of HR Compliance. Jim is a native Californian and works out of our Sacramento CA office. Jim enjoys traveling, hiking, interior design, and spending time with his husband and two dogs.

Kim McNeil is a SHRM-SCP certified professional with over a decade of experience.  This experience includes expertise in benefits and compensation, international HR, mergers and acquisitions, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, federal contracts, and compliance. She has worked in a variety of industries including nonprofits and high tech.   Kim has a Bachelor of Arts in World Politics from The Catholic University of America. As a passionate lifelong learner, she also holds a few SHRM Specialty credentials: Inclusive Workplace Cultures, California Law/HR, and Talent Acquisitions. As well as, SHRM People Manager Qualification.  She is passionate about building inclusive workplaces that are purpose-driven and civility-minded.
