Gilman

Steve is a dynamic individual whose diverse experiences have shaped his journey. Graduating from Yale University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, he also served as captain of the baseball team, showcasing his leadership skills from an early stage. His athletic prowess led him to a successful stint as a closing pitcher for the Detroit Tigers after he was drafted in 2008.

Transitioning from the world of sports, Steve embarked on a new adventure as an Intelligence Officer for the Department of Defense, where he primarily supported Navy Special Warfare units as a counterproliferation subject matter expert. His diplomatic service took him to prominent postings in Cairo and Abu Dhabi, where he honed his strategic thinking and global perspective.

Steve pursued an MBA at Columbia Business School, graduating in 2015. During this time, he co-founded Blockparty, a tech-enabled live event company backed by Live Nation Entertainment.

Steve concurrently received a direct commission into the US Navy as a Reserve Intelligence Officer, rising to the rank of Lieutenant.

Returning to his roots in the NYC area in 2021, Steve embarked on his latest venture, OneRange. With a vision to provide efficient upskilling solutions to organizations, he has since made it his mission to bring the best-in-class methodologies from sports and the military into the corporate world for the betterment of businesses and employees alike.
