Attendees will gain valuable tips and strategies that will move their organizations from moral D&I effort to practical D&I effort.

The topic of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) has been an area of focus for several years. However, in many organizations, little progress has been made to truly leveraging the value of diversity and create inclusive workplace environments that are supportive and encourage belonging. In general, organizations have encountered specific challenges that have limited opportunities to move the needle regarding D&I. Many of those challenges have disrupted efforts to be clear about the overall goals and objectives of the organizational D&I journey. This session will offer valuable tips to help participants BE CLEAR about D&I efforts and strategies that will move organizations from moral D&I efforts to practical D&I action.

  • Provide clarity on the importance of establishing a foundational base for D&I strategies.
  • Offer a historical outlook to create understanding of where organizations are today and how certain challenges are the source of organizational stagnation

Delphia L. Howze is a forward-thinking Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion leader with more than 25 years of successful experience in helping organizations leverage human capital to create and strengthen inclusive environments. 

Delphia consistently collaborates with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR and D&I strategic plans aligned with organizational priorities. She is the CEO and Founder of D. Howze Solutions, LLC, a D&I consultancy. She also serves as the inaugural Chief Inclusion Officer for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. 

Delphia holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from Point Park University, and Project Management Certification from Villanova University, and is currently a doctoral student.
