Getting to the Why of DEI

INCLUSION 2021

Leaders are ready to acknowledge that diversity, equity & inclusion are crucial for their workplace and put away the excuse that they can't solve DEI, especially since the workplace is a leader-created artificial construct. All of the policies, the practices, and the procedures are dictated by the leaders of the organization. Therefore, if a strategy for DEI has not been created, it could be because 1) the leaders don't know how to create one and don't want to admit it 2) they haven’t been presented with an ROI evaluation that seems worthwhile or 3) they know they need to do something but don't want to get it wrong, so they would rather do nothing.

Using a four-step framework and change management principles, participants will learn:

  • The case for diversity and how to apply it to their company.
  • How leaders can increase credibility with authenticity.
  • The strategy for addressing resistance to action when it comes to implementing DEI.
