Session #901: Finding Your Balance in Work and Life: Regenerating the Resources Within You

SHRM 2015 Annual Conference
Workplace Application: This session will review various methods of stress management so that you can avoid burnout and learn how to better balance work and life obligations.

Those who work in HR are professionals at assisting others. This is often done at personal expense in that the job of psychologically taking on the issues of others can become burdensome over time. When dealing with the problems of others every day, it is easy to neglect taking care of the self. How do you do it all? Is it even possible? Amy Freeman discusses the challenges of balancing a busy life, dealing with stress and embracing peace of mind. This session examines the effect of stress on our health and other areas of our lives. Incorporating small positive changes can make a big difference. When we take care of ourselves, we have more resources to share with others. This presentation encourages you to lower your personal stress levels, allowing you to be healthier and more effective.
