Performance evaluations have long been a source of frustration for supervisors and subordinates alike. What's worse: both self-evaluations and supervisors' evaluations can reflect unconscious biases that make the process less equitable for some, particularly for employees from underrepresented backgrounds. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to support a performance evaluation process that drives desired behaviors and results, while making them more fair and inclusive for the modern diverse workforce.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how unconscious bias and cultural differences impact the effectiveness of performance evaluations.
- 'Level the playing field' with more inclusive self-evaluations from employees.
- Techniques to interrupt bias in performance feedback and evaluations.
