Seating Instructions: Seating is first-come, first-served. Reserved seating options are available for accessibility and accommodations. For detailed accessibility information, visit INFO > FAQs in the app.
Repeated on Tuesday at 12:30pm.Most organizations think they're created safe spaces. There are policies in place for reporting discrimination. Nonetheless, many marginalized people don't feel psychological safety or inclusion because subtle acts of exclusion and unconscious bias are rampant. We will explore how HR professionals can support a more active kind of inclusion, where we connect authentically, where we broach hard conversations with vulnerability and courage, and where we grow and learn together when we mess up.
Learning Objectives:
- Confirm why true inclusion and psychological safety matter so much for our organization to achieve the highest performance possible.Understand why the current state of most organizations leads to under-the-radar subtle exclusion and lack of safety for so many people.
- Practice understanding why more authentic connections, more productive mistakes, and more active allyship are essential for getting to true inclusion and safety for all.
- Discover immediately applicable guidelines for speaking up and standing up for colleagues.
- Apply the concepts discussed to policies, processes, and practices in order to proactively build the mostly inclusive and safe culture possible.
