The NASCAR Experience: Hiring in the Fast Lane

2019 Talent Conference & Exposition
Learn how to stay ahead of the competition with a winning candidate experience and a high-touch talent acquisition strategy.

This session will explore hiring strategies from auto racing's most prominent employer, NASCAR. Hiring a world-class team while navigating complex relationships with candidates who are also devoted fans is par for the course for NASCAR. To ensure all applicants receive a winning candidate experience, NASCAR blends a high-touch talent acquisition strategy with recruitment technology from iCIMS to automate hiring processes. Learn how a high-tech approach to hiring can bolster recruitment efforts and improve efficiencies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to deliver a better candidate experience through improved communication. The cadence of communication and way in which employers connect with job seekers can make or break the candidate experience. Rethinking communication strategies and introducing tools like text messaging and chatbots help recruiters connect with candidates quickly and provide all applicants with a meaningful, positive experience.
  • Learn how automating the hiring processes can streamline efficiencies. Balancing a high volume of candidates with a high-touch recruiting strategy can be a challenge. A high-tech recruiting strategy helps streamline hiring processes, reducing the complexities and allowing recruiters to take a more targeted approach to find the needle in the haystack in a large talent pipeline. Automation processes should be used to complement the candidate experience; it is critical to ensure that relationships are not sacrificed for the sake of efficiency.
  • Leverage hiring data to attract top talent in a job-seeker's market. In today's job market, the job seeker has the upper hand―unemployment is the lowest it's been in years, and expectations for employers are high. Understanding how to leverage hiring data to navigate today's recruiting landscape will help hiring professionals make better-informed hiring decisions and produce a healthy ROI for both their HR organization and business as a whole.
