The Power of Video to Attract the Mobile Job Seeker

2019 Talent Conference & Exposition
You will learn how to better attract mobile job seekers and how to make your job opportunities go viral while reducing cost-per-hire.

In recent years, talent acquisition has changed its course. For recruiters to be up to the challenge of searching for and locating top talent, it is important that they keep up on trends. First and foremost, it is a candidate's market right now. Unemployment is low. According to McKinsey's 2015 Global Growth Model study, there were three times as many workers as retirees from 2005 to 2015, and by 2025 the ratio will be 1-1. For today's generation of job seekers, mobile devices are a part of conducting a job search. We need to find information easily, on any screen that fits in a purse or pocket. A short, compelling and engaging job video, versus a long text job description, makes it easier for a candidate to understand and retain information about a position. According to Forrester Research's Dr. James McQuivey, “A minute of video is worth 1.8 million words.” Learn more in this session from real-life case studies from large global employers.
