Extended Work-From-Home Policies and HR Compliance

2021 Annual Conference & Expo
Attendees will learn the compliance obligations, limitations and legal complications of long-term work-from-home arrangements for noncitizen employees.

As the reopening of businesses continues at a slow and erratic pace, companies are extending work-from-home arrangements and weighing permanent telework policies. Immigration regulations, however, have not contemplated long-term work-from-home policies, and employers remain obligated to stay in compliance with all requirements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss compliance issues for companies with employees on work visas who are working remotely on a long-term basis or returning to work at a new location.
  • Hear limitations and complications of teleworking employees under immigration and labor regulations.
