I'm Still Standing: Rising Up with Resilient Leadership

2021 Annual Conference & Expo
Attendees will learn how to use the neuroscience of leadership to help build resilience by retraining their brain, resetting their mindset and restoring connection.

Burnout and overwhelm are more prevalent in HR than ever before. As the demands on HR professionals continue to increase, little has been done to equip them with the skills and tools they need to succeed. Working in HR can sometimes make you feel like a human punching bag, constantly getting knocked down by the responsibilities, expectations and pressures of your role and finding it hard to rise up again. In times of stress and rapid change, how can we show up more effectively and with greater resilience? What can we do to respond to adversity with confidence and courage so we can better navigate times of transition and respond in the face of uncertainty? In this session, you’ll learn how to take back control in an often out-of-control world. You’ll walk away feeling equipped and empowered to make meaning out of your challenges, approach the future with hope and strength, and build more resilient leadership in yourself and others.

Learning Objectives:

  • Uncover the four qualities followers need from leaders in times of crisis and uncertainty.
  • Discover practical, evidence-based strategies to reset your mindset and rewire your brain to reduce anxiety so you can perform at a higher level (plus react less and respond better).
  • Identify specific steps you can take to become more resilient by optimizing your emotional intelligence and activating your brain power and social network.
