2022 Annual Conference
This session is designed to provide actionable take-a-ways to better engage with employees about employment laws to encourage retention.

"I believe in You." When was the last time you said that to an employee?  How and when do you speak to your employees?  Barking about all the employment laws limiting what managers can do is not a retention strategy, it's leading with fear, not engagement.  It would be better for your employees and your bottom line to engage with a different mindset.  Viewing things like the ADA, FMLA and Title VII as tools to create conversations and improve your workplace.  Independent of whether you are concerned with mental health, medical issues or discriminatory practices there are better ways to engage.   In this thought provoking and interactive session we will explore ways to talk with employees, seek solutions and comply with the relevant employment laws that would otherwise place fear in the hearts of senior management.  Join me as we consider a better way to actually talk with employees, increase your retention and positively impact your bottom line.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the parameters of the ADA, FMLA and Title VII as they relate to employee engagement.
  • Learn options to reframe discussions with employees that are compliant with employment laws and supportive of the workforce.
  • Explore areas where you may alter your policies to encourage supportive employment law discussions.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
