2023 Talent Conference
This session will help recruiters and other TA teams to engage with stakeholders more strategically by cultivating their "conscious curiosity" skills.

Truly successful Talent Acquisition professionals have the ability to cultivate their "conscious curiosity" to help them be more effective as consultants with their stakeholders (hiring managers and candidates). During this session, you will learn how to gain control over your work by leveraging the skills of self-motivated curiosity to help gain credibility, improve candidate assessment, and understand the commercial language of your business. You will learn key project management skills and how to transform into a more consultative and strategic recruiter. You will learn the clues to getting organized with stakeholders by setting and managing expectations, creating recruiting and plans and strategies in advance, and leveraging some simple tools to keep you in control of your work.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the skill of self-motivated curiosity—what it is in the world of business and organizations, and how it can help gain credibility, and improve candidate assessment.
  • Become an expert in the commercial language of your organization and your industry by clearly understanding how organizations make (or lose) money.
  • Hear how being consciously curious can help build and manage relationships with all key stakeholders: hiring managers, candidates, employees, and leaders.
  • Find out how to use “contracting” in day-to-day relationships and walk the line between being of service and not being “customer service”.
  • Understand how to conduct more effective hiring-manager recruiting “intake” meetings and leverage the key components of a great recruiting service-level-agreement and recruiting sourcing strategy.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
