2023 Talent Conference
Pave the way to tap into a rich pipeline of trained and mission focused Veterans and Military Family candidates.

Level up your workforce through H.E.A.R.T (Hire, Engage, Attract, Retain, Transition Veterans). Today, the U.S. Veteran and Military Family workforce are more skilled, educated, and diverse than ever before. But often, we see outdated recruiting and attraction methodologies applied, and this only leads to high turnover and ineffective marketing strategies. If you are looking to build or boost your Veteran and Military Family hiring and retention – this session is for you! Presenter Omari Faulkner speaks through his current experiences supporting the Veteran community, Military Family and as an Active Reservist today. Through shared personal experiences, data, and hands-on practice, Omari will provide attendees with transparent knowledge that challenges any notion or business strategic plan which doesn't include veterans and military families. Together, let's support the broader Military Family by H.E.A.R.T.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover steps you and your organization can take to shape and enhance a robust, H.E.A.R.T program for veterans and military families.
  • Learn today's best recruitment strategies and how they impact your strategic plan.
  • Understand why many fail to attract, hire, and retain veterans due to stereotypes, unconscious bias, lack of understanding, or limited resources.
  • Review the value proposition of military families (spouses, partners, children, adult dependents, caregivers, etc.) and why their roles are so paramount to our military's mission and the operational success of companies both large and small.
  • Understand how the retention of veterans starts before you hire a veteran.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
