Overcoming Burnout so Employees can Thrive!

2024 Talent Conference & Expo
In this session we will explore the root causes of burnout and discuss strategies you can implement to reduce burnout so employees can thrive.

We all know what burnout looks and feels like... overworked, too many meetings, not enough connection, lacking resources, emotional exhaustion, lack of work-life balance. But did you know, burnout is about your workplace, NOT your people?  The dimensions of burnout are rooted in HOW we work, not who is working.  In this session we will explore the root causes of burnout and discuss strategies you can implement to reduce burnout so employees can thrive.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the difference between burnout and other stress processes.
  • Define the three dimensions of burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, reduced personal accomplishment) and explore the organizational factors that lead to each.
  • Recommend strategies for preventing burnout in your workplace and link these strategies to your engagement efforts.
