Today's socio-political environment is volatile, uncertain and complex.  This environment permeates people's thoughts and behaviors.  It impacts their reactions to discussions at work.  "Diversity" has become increasingly challenging to discuss because it has become politicized.  Now, more than ever, approaching Diversity without Adversity is needed.  Civility is required.  In this dynamic session led by a seasoned Diversity professional with 27+ years of experience, you will gain insights on how to approach Diversity in ways that produce meaningful outcomes.  You will gain ideas that will help you win allies and gain support for your Diversity initiatives.  Inclusion must actively involve individuals from different points of view.  Inevitably, disagreements happen.  Yet, they can be done respectfully and with consideration for others. Civility opens the door to possibilty!

Learning Objectives:

  • Heighten awareness of how today's socio-political environment impacts the workplace.
  • Acquire greater understanding of inclusive approaches to Diversity without adversity.
