LGBT! Not Just a U.S. Diversity Issue Anymore

SHRM 2012 Diversity & Inclusion Conference & Exposition
Using successful practices from corporate leaders in LGBT workplace diversity, this session will give you the tools to enhance workplace D&I efforts around the world.

For the last 15 years the push has been to include sexual orientation in U.S. corporate policies. In the last four years, gender identity has increasingly been at the forefront of benefits equality in the workplace. Find out what leaders in D&I are doing today to extend policies and benefits to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees around the world. Take home tools you can use to expand your company’s efforts. We will discuss strategies to include and maintain consistent global policies and different cultural levels of acceptance for LGBT employees. Finally, we will develop action plans and next steps for your program implementation to create an LGBT global inclusion policy and benefits at your organization.
