This session will discuss the health and wellness benefits of vacation time by examining Nielsen survey findings and will help you understand about vacation liability and the financial impact it has on businesses when employees don't take vacations. In this session, we will:

·         Explore the financial implications unused vacation time has on businesses and how you can avoid that pitfall
          by encouraging employees to take their vacations.

·         Learn about a national dialogue Diamond created around the importance of vacation time through their
          “Vacation Commitment Initiative” with TakeBackYourTime.org, and learn how you can take the first step in fostering a
          vacation-positive environment. 

·         Explore initiatives Diamond has implemented to encourage team members to take all of their vacation time
          and how your executives can do the same within your organizations.

·         Understand the tools and resources you can implement to encourage employees to take their earned vacation time
          which ultimately results in increased work productivity and employee morale and ensures employees live a healthier, happier life.

Mr. Jabara has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, with more than 10 years in hospitality, and an extensive background in management consulting. He currently oversees a number of human resources related activities at Diamond Resorts International®, including responsibility for global compensation and benefits; human resource operations within the Company’s North American Resort Operations and Sales and Marketing operations; with additional focus in areas related to recruiting, talent and career development, performance management, HR systems, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Jabara also has oversight for the Company’s Metrics and Analytics department.
 
Prior to his current role, Mr. Jabara was Vice President, Compensation, Benefits, & HRSS at Caesars Entertainment, Inc. for almost six years. Prior to joining Caesars, Mr. Jabara was an Executive Compensation Consultant with Towers Watson, a leading Human Resources Consulting firm. During his 10 years of consulting, Mr. Jabara advised Fortune 1000 clients on Human Resources and Compensation related topics including business strategy, pay for performance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, variable and equity-based incentive plan design, and executive benefits.
Mr. Jabara obtained his Bachelor degree in International Business from California State University at Fullerton. After working in commercial banking in France and California, he obtained his MBA from Pepperdine University, followed by a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law.
 
He is a member of several organizations including the California State Bar, World at Work, SHRM, and other organizations.
