Attendees will be able to expand DEIB employee resource or affinity groups to support Sober Curious and Recovery Ready employees and workspaces.

The post pandemic workforce has been severely impacted by mental and behavioral health issues. Employee Resource and Affinity Groups are well positioned to expand, include, and embrace Sober Curious and Recovery Ready Workplace champions and their allies. Attendees will learn how DEIB groups can be used to create psychologically safe workspaces for employees seeking the peer-level support needed to acquire information, share resources, and navigate nonclinical mental and behavioral healthcare systems.

Learning Objectives:

  • Communicate the impact that the pandemic and post pandemic 'new normal' have had on the mental and behavioral health of the workforce.
  • Explain why Employee Resource and Affinity Groups should be expanded to include and embrace Sober Curious and Recovery Ready employees, champions, and their allies.
  • Identify best practices, current approaches and trends used by companies to create psychological safety in the workplace relating to mental and behavioral health issues.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
