2022 Annual Conference
Attendees will learn the dynamics of post-traumatic growth and provide mechanisms for encouraging this growth in the workplace.

One thing is certain in this time of uncertainty-the global pandemic has brought many significant and novel challenges for employers. In the midst of dealing with the many employment-related issues brought about by COVID-19, it can be easy to forget about mental health. This session will focus on post-traumatic growth-a concept that explains how challenges can cause personal, professional, and societal growth and renewal. Join Dr. Dennis Davis as he provides insights on how employers can help their employees deal with the trauma associated with these stressful times while at the same time remaining productive members of the workforce.

Learning Objectives:

  • This presentation will provide a definition/vocabulary around post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and post-traumatic growth.
  • This presentation will help attendees identify the five major areas in workers' lives were post-traumatic growth can occur.
  • This presentation will discuss the consequences of an individual's failure to rebound from trauma, and the impact of those consequences on employers.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
