Beyond CEO Pay Ratio: The Real Revolution in Compensation Starts with a Living Wage

2024 Annual
Paying a living wage can feel like too big of an undertaking - both operationally and financially; however, most organizations philosophically agree that it's the right thing to do. This session will help organizations understand how to talk about, determine and implement a living wage with those challenges in mind.

Seating Instructions: Seating is first-come, first-served. Reserved seating options are available for accessibility and accommodations. For detailed accessibility information, visit INFO > FAQs in the app.

A living wage is an essential component of your JEDI strategy, employee wellbeing, internal equity, and elevating the operational efficiencies of your organization. Organizations often find they are not paying employees a living, let alone a thriving, wage. Learn how two organizations, Ford Foundation and The James Irvine Foundation, had the courage to ask themselves the question and then do something about it, and how you can lead your organization to take the next step.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how paying a living wage is part of a comprehensive JEDI program.
  • Learn how to assess whether their organization is paying all employees a living wage.
  • Understand the difference between paying a living and a thriving wage.
  • Navigate the administrative complexities of program design, including financial navigation.
  • Approach leadership to consider a living wage program.
